AutoTodo streamlines management processes with Oracle Cloud

Wholesale auto parts distributor cuts order processing time by 40% after migrating to Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM, ERP, and Oracle Warehouse Management.

Business challenges

The Mexico-based automotive spare parts wholesaler distributes parts to thousands of small independent businesses through 11 distribution centers around the country. With 780 employees, 100,000 SKUs and 300,000 available via catalog, the company faced many operational challenges, including aging finance and HR systems that existed in silos and were unable to handle a growing volume of operations.

AutoTodo Mexicana required a platform that would help integrate systems to speed up in-store service. The company also needed a more robust back-end solution to process accounting information, such as payments and collections. Additionally, the organization wanted to optimize warehouse operations with an inventory management system that would help reduce errors, which cost the company dearly in terms of dissatisfied clients, increased costs, and time losses.

Within HR, AutoTodo sought to streamline operations and link workforce performance metrics with business data to enhance performance management and optimize outcomes—all managed in modules in the cloud.

We are happy and satisfied to have chosen Oracle as our partner for our system-change megaproject. The most important transformation that this company has undergone in years was deciding to change the system from start to finish.

Why AutoTodo Chose Oracle

AutoTodo evaluated a wide range of options, including SAP. Ultimately, the company concluded that Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications outperformed SAP’s competing solution, and would provide more value for the investment. Oracle’s global presence, dependable support, and industry expertise also weighed heavily in the decision.

Results

The distributor now has the platform it needs to establish a cloud-based digital strategy. With Oracle Cloud ERP and Oracle Warehouse Management, order processing times have been reduced by 40% and the company has seen an average 70% drop in warehouse error rates. All of the company’s information is now available real time, which has resulted in improved reporting and auditing. With improved collections, executives now spend more time on proactive tasks such as client negotiations.

Using Oracle Cloud HCM, the company could integrate its performance management processes. Performance, payroll, and more finally came together, and company productivity has increased.
